Lone Star Family Farms has setup a scholarship fund with landowner, Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas in memory of fallen partners, Johnny Crownover and Adam Crownover. Johnny passed away March 17, 2006 from a tragic train accident and Adam passed away July 10, 2009 from a tragic ATV accident. Both were not only family members, but big contributors to our farming business. Each of them had a relationship with Wayland Baptist University in working with them as a landowner for our farm.

This scholarship fund was started in 2010 with the university and will be awarded to students pursuing the wrestling or football program at Wayland Baptist University. One thing that Adam and Johnny enjoyed together was Adam's childhood of wresting and football days. They shared many great memories together and both had a passion for these sports. This is one way that we as a family and a farm want to give back in Johnny and Adam's name.
